Feed Intake and Apparent Nutrient Digestibility of Growing Rabbits Fed Asystasia gangetica with Different Levels of Corn

نویسندگان

چکیده

This study investigated the effect of different corn levels on intake and digestibility in rabbits. The rabbits were divided into four groups given Asystasia gangetica ad libitum as a basal diet supplemented with either 80 g (T1), 60 (T2), 40 (T3), or 0 (T4) corn/head/day. Rabbits fed T4 demonstrated higher intake/kg metabolic weight than other treatments. Nevertheless, T1 diets depicted lowest highest digestibility, respectively. In conclusion, apparent nutrient was significantly improved growing following supplemental feeding containing 60-80 corn.

Apparent digestibility and nutrient balance in lambs fed different levels of flatpea hay.

Apparent digestibility and nutrient utilization were studied in a digestion and balance trial with 30 wether lambs (BW 32 kg). Lambs were blocked by weight and allotted randomly to five diets with ratios of alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) to 'Lathco' flatpea (Lathyrus sylvestris L.) hay of 100:0, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75, and 0:100. Alfalfa was harvested in the early bloom stage and flatpea was harvest...

Effects of Levels of Ficus (Ficus sycomorus) Supplementation on Voluntary Feed Intake, Nutrient Digestibility and Nitrogen Balance in Yankasa Bucks Fed Urea Treated Maize Stover Basal Diet

The study was conducted to evaluate the effects of feeding varying levels of Ficus sycomorus leaf forages as protein supplements to a basal diet of urea treated maize stover. Four Yankasa goats averaging one year and weighing 11.7±1.8 kg were used to measure the feed intake, digestibility and nitrogen balance. The basal diet (urea treated maize stover) was supplemented with 0 (T1), 50 (T2), 100...

Nutrient Intake and Digestibility by West African Dwarf (WAD) Sheep Fed Graded Levels of Pigeon Pea Seed Meal

A study was carried out to evaluate nutrient intake and digestibility by West African Dwarf (WAD) sheep fed graded levels of dietary pigeon pea seed meal (PSM). Four diets designated A, B, C and D were formulated to contain 0, 10, 20, and 30% levels of PSM, respectively. Four WAD rams aged between 15 and 17 months and weighing between 16 and 19 kg were used to conduct digestibility study in a 4...

Energy and nutrient digestibility in NutriDense corn and other cereal grains fed to growing pigs.

Two experiments were conducted to measure the energy and nutrient digestibilities in NutriDense corn and other cereal grains. An additional objective was to evaluate the effect of balancing diets with AA on the values measured for DE and ME of corn varieties. In Exp. 1, 6 growing pigs were fitted with a T-cannula in the distal ileum and allotted to a 6 x 6 Latin square design to measure apparen...

Intake, Nutrient Apparent Digestibility, and Ruminal Constituents of Crossbred Dorper × Santa Inês Sheep Fed Diets with Babassu Mesocarp Flour

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect on intake, apparent digestibility, and ruminal constituents of sheep in response to the addition of increasing levels of babassu mesocarp flour (BMF) to the diet. Twenty crossbred sheep (29.17 ± 2.23 kg) were used in a randomized complete block design. Lambs were confined for 21 days, with 16 days for diet adaptation and 5 days for data collectio...
